This footswitch is lightweight and versatile. The rustproof and corrosion proof cover with a formed steel base also make it quite durable. It is available in two different switching options, either Momentary or Maintained.
Momentary footswitches are the most commonly used and are activated simply by pressing the footswitch down to activate the power to the machine. When you release the footswitch the power to the machine stops.
Maintained footswitches are activated by pressing and releasing the footswitch once, to turn on power to the machine. The machine will continue to run until the footswitch is pressed and released a second time, which will deactivate power to the machine and it will turn off. Maintained footswitches allow you to work without having to hold down the footswitch, freeing you up to move easily around client and workstation.
Both types of footswitches come pre-wired from Eikon with 6’ of heavy-duty 18 gauge silicone wire.
